Francois Malherbe is a TEDxStellenbosch speaker who started his career studying Industrial Psychology as well as Sociology at the University of Stellenbosch. With many questions in his heart regarding his career, instead of pursuing a corporate direction he bought a ticket to Paris and sailed the Mediterranean for a year to plan his next step.
He then went on to become the cofounder of ‘Unravelling Exploration’ based in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Francois is a vocational coach in the field of self and career exploration. He also has a passion for exploration and facilitation, and uses this with group- / teamwork and on expeditions. He has been involved with communities in many parts of Africa, especially Northern Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. Francois has led expeditions with students into Africa since 2006, and has covered countless km’s worth of travelling though Africa whilst facilitating self and career exploration. He has done numerous radio and television interviews and panel discussions on these matters as well.
Francois is also a Results Coaching Systems accredited coach and uses this tool to further his methodology on social innovation through vocational freedom and how it fits into passion and business in society. He is also doing a coaching course at the UCT graduate school of business on intergral coaching.
